TurboClean Privacy Policy

Thank you for using TurboClean ("the App", "we", "our", or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how TurboClean handles information when you use the App.
1. Overview
TurboClean is an Android utility app designed to help users scan removable junk files, analyze storage usage, and clean eligible files within areas the App is allowed to access. We aim to minimize data collection and keep core processing on the user's device whenever possible.
2. Information We Process
Based on the current version of the App, TurboClean may process the following categories of information:
- Device storage statistics, such as used and available storage space, in order to display cleaning and optimization information.
- App-accessible cache and temporary files stored within the App's own accessible directories.
- Files and folders that the user explicitly authorizes through Android's system folder picker for scan and cleanup purposes.
- Local settings and preferences, such as cleaning options, schedule preferences, toggle states, and the display name or URI reference of an authorized scan folder.
3. Folder Access and User Authorization
TurboClean does not automatically gain broad access to your files.
If you choose to use extended scan or cleanup features, the App may ask you to authorize a folder through Android's system permission flow. If you grant access:
- The App may scan files in the selected folder and its supported subfolders.
- The App may identify removable junk-like items such as cache folders, temporary files, log files, thumbnail folders, empty aged files, and similar low-value files according to the App's cleanup rules.
- The App may delete only items that match the cleanup logic and are within the folder scope you authorized.
You can revoke or change this authorization from your device settings or through the App's folder management options, if available.
4. How Data Is Used
TurboClean uses processed information only to provide app features, including:
- Displaying storage usage and scan results.
- Identifying removable junk files in accessible areas.
- Deleting eligible junk files when you confirm cleanup actions.
- Saving your preferences locally on the device.
- Preparing optional monetization support for future app releases.
5. Local Storage
TurboClean stores certain settings locally on your device using Android local storage mechanisms, such as SharedPreferences. This may include:
- toggle states
- language display preferences
- cleaning schedule preferences
- authorized folder reference information
This local data is used to keep the App working properly across sessions and is not intended to be transmitted to our servers by the current version of the App.
6. Data Sharing
The current version of TurboClean does not operate its own remote backend for user accounts, cloud sync, or server-side data uploads as part of the core cleaning features.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not intentionally share your authorized folder contents or scanned file lists with us or other parties through the core local cleaning workflow.
7. Advertising and Third-Party Services
TurboClean has integrated Google AdMob SDK support in the project architecture. However, in the current configuration, ad display is disabled by default and ads are not actively shown to users.
If advertising is enabled in a future release, Google AdMob or other approved advertising partners may collect certain device or advertising-related data in accordance with their own privacy policies and applicable law. Such data may include identifiers, network information, and ad interaction data.
If and when ads are enabled for production use, this Privacy Policy may be updated and users should also review Google's privacy documentation:

8. Permissions
Depending on the feature you use, TurboClean may request or rely on:
- Internet access, for future advertising SDK support or network-dependent services.
- Network state access, for ad and connectivity-related behavior.
- User-granted document or folder access through Android's system picker, only when you explicitly choose to authorize a folder.
The App does not request unrestricted file access in the current implementation described by this policy.
9. No Guarantee of Full-System Cleanup
Due to Android platform restrictions, TurboClean cannot directly access or clear private data belonging to other apps unless Android explicitly permits such access. Cleanup operations are limited to areas the App can lawfully access, including the App's own cache areas and folders you authorize.
10. Data Retention
Because the core feature set works locally on your device:
- scan results are generally processed in memory for the active session
- settings remain on your device until removed, overwritten, or the App is uninstalled
- authorized folder references remain until you revoke or clear them
11. Children's Privacy
TurboClean is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law for independent consent in their region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App's core local utility features.
12. Security
We strive to follow reasonable practices to reduce unnecessary data exposure. However, no device, platform, or software environment can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for reviewing cleanup results and granting folder access only when you trust the action being performed.
13. Your Choices
You may:
- decline folder authorization
- revoke previously granted folder access
- clear app data from Android system settings
- uninstall the App at any time
These actions may limit certain scan or cleanup features.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect feature changes, legal requirements, SDK updates, or product releases. The updated version will become effective when published with a new effective date.
